The order of Star Wars is mixed up because the original trilogy (Episodes IV-VI) was released before the prequel trilogy (Episodes I-III). This means that many fans were introduced to the story through the original trilogy and then later learned about the events that led up to it. Additionally, the release of the sequel trilogy (Episodes VII-IX) further complicates the chronological order of the story. This mixed-up order has led to different viewing preferences among fans, with some preferring to watch the films in chronological order and others sticking to the order of release. **
